Registration is free with a limitation of 10 entries. For more than 10 entries we charge only $15.00 (USD) a year! Paid members have a limitation of 5,000 password entries they can store. Accounts that are inactive for more than 180-days may be purged from our system.
Email Address: We only use your email address to (1) validate your account if you need technical support, and (2) to help us validate your paid membership - which we hope you'll consider doing!
Password: Your Password must be at least seven (7) characters in minimum length and no greater then seventy-five (75) characters in maximum length. It should contain both upper and lower case alpha characters
(a-zA-Z), multiple numeric characters
(0-9) and special characters
(shift key + top row keys)
Authentication: LockedPassword.Com works on a "double password" system - meaning in order to have an account (and thus to log into your account) you have to use two different passwords. We call this "second password" an "authentication password". It must meet the same requirements as your primary password.
Yes, we take passwords very serious around here! We tend to believe that passwords are better when they are
passphrases! Your password can
never been changed so make sure it is a good one and something you will remember!
An example of a very good password might be "
Today I saw 1 fox jump over a 7-Foot high fence!". You will notice five important things about this password: (1) it is 48-characters in length, (2) it has both upper-case and lower-case letters, (3) it has numbers, (4) it has letters, and (5) it has two special characters (-!). Try to make your password contain as many of these variations as possible for the ultimate strength. Remember, your password is very very important!
(yes, we should use the term 'passphrase' but not everybody knows what that means)
Very Important Note: LockedPassword.Com can NEVER reset either of your two passwords
(nor can you) so be sure you use something you will remember for a very long time! If you forget either/both of your passwords ALL of your data will be lost! Really, there is NOTHING we can do to help you if you forget them! So please, do not forget them! As fellow password managers we would hate to loose our own passwords - and we would hate it if you lost yours too!
